Adjustments are the minor movement of vertebrae in the spine. The goal of this movement is to realign the bones that have moved out of place for any reason from everyday activities to trauma from slips, falls, or accidents. When these bones are out of place it can have a negative effect from the muscular system to the nervous system.

An adjustment is often a pressure from a chiropractor utilizing their hands to move the vertebrae back into place. This happens with a quick movement that is often painless. You may hear a pop or cracking sound this is known as a cavitation. it is the release of gas such as oxygen and nitrogen from the joint.

Overall, adjustments are a great way to keep the body functioning at its highest potential. When the body is in alignment, the body is able to respond and perform as it was designed to.
